Accelerate came to us through the “Investment and Contract Readiness Fund” looking for specialist support to articulate the impact they had made on the lives of their patients. Accelerate knew they had a valuable multi-disciplinary service model, that could pave the way for further investment and growth from key contracts and supplementary revenue channels such as GP referrals – but they needed to prove it! Accelerate also hoped measuring their impact would support the case for replicating their specialist community model further afield, as well as capturing the benefits of their unique service ahead of the upcoming re-tender for their core contract.
We created a bespoke impact measurement framework based on a unique ‘theory of change’ for Accelerate. This was tested and approved by key stakeholders including Accelerate’s Clinical Director, with data then collected. As well as developing a corporate reporting framework, we led the development of Accelerate’s first impact report, clearly showing the positive social and clinical impact they make. The report boosted bid activity, resulting in increased revenues of £275k from a combination of new CCG contracts, consultancy work and clinical leadership programmes. The report also supported Accelerate’s strategy and approach to marketing resulting in an estimated increase in non-contract revenues of £120k per annum.
“Baxendale ‘get us’. They understand what drives us, why we started the company and have been able to help us articulate our business and worth.” – Alison Hopkins, Chief Executive
